This course is designed for practicing, qualified electricians who are keen to expand their expertise into the rapidly growing field of electric vehicle (EV) charging systems. It offers in-depth guidance on designing and installing a variety of EV charging solutions, providing essential knowledge for those looking to enhance their skills in this innovative area.
This course is hosted at the ElectrAssure Training Academy, situated within the Engineering and Construction campus at North Hertfordshire College. This collaboration between ElectrAssure and North Hertfordshire College has allowed us to create course content meets and exceeds industry standards. We couldn’t be happier!
Our team have provided a fixed charge point and four training rigs designed to give learners hands-on experience with EV charge point installation and maintenance technologies.
Participants will explore crucial topics including the specifications of electric vehicle charging equipment, the variety of EV charging options available, and the essential processes for inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover of EV charging systems. Additionally, the course will cover the innovative use of vehicles as electrical energy storage components within prosumer installations.
Assessment will be conducted through an online multiple-choice test to evaluate theoretical understanding, complemented by a practical assignment to test hands-on skills.
This well structured training is designed to empower candidates with all of the skills and knowledge they need to excel in the world of Electric Vehicles.
This intensive course runs over two full days, with sessions beginning at 9 AM and finishes at 4:30 PM.
